What do Candians know about zombies?
3:59 PM

Looks pretty awesome...but something looks off. It doesn't visually look as good as I remember Dead Rising looking. Perhaps it's due to the fact that they're not using the original engine (which went on to be used with other awesome-looking games like Devil May Cry 4 and Resident Evil 5). Instead, the Canadian developer is using its own technology to up the zombie count and use stuff like "procedural dismemberment" or something like that. So while that stuff is cool, the change in engine kinda worries me...because I really liked the way Dead Rising 1 looked.

I guess another reason for the differences is that...well, it's Canadians doing the job instead of the Japanese. Japanese and Western games always seem to have a very distinct look. Western dudes seem to focus more on pushing their technology, while Japanese dudes push the...uh.."art." This affects gameplay in a lotta ways. Like, take Lost Planet for example: a Japanese shooter. The game looked awesome, and the animation was REALLY good...but it was too good. The movements took too long, making the gameplay slower than any western shooter.

So in summary, CANADA BETTER NOT MESS UP DEAD RISING.
Time Travel Objective 1: Get Good at Fighting Games
12:00 AM

If I could go back in time, I would tell my younger self, "Get good at Street Fighter 2, so you can grow up to not suck at Capcom fighting games like I do now."

That way, I would not lose a million battle points every time I play Street Fighter IV online, and I'd actually be excited about this:

Also, I guess I'd tell myself to watch more Spider-Man cartoons so I would end up being a bigger Marvel fan to appreciate such a game even more.
